Anyone in the Buffalo or Syracuse NY area?

It's a writer's group. I haven't joined it, so I don't know anything about it, sorry.

I couldn't find any film groups--sorry again. Perhaps someone with better Google-fu will show up here. Horror is way out of mainstream in Bflo, methinks. When I ran a small writer's group (up till last year) even the other members looked at me funny when I said I wrote horror.

Rochester, which lies more or less between Syracuse and Buffalo, has a very active writing community, often stemming from hook-ups at Writers and Books. My critique group of 17 years started there--but we're genre-exclusive, and it's not horror.

However, I often see notices in this or that publication suggesting that there are many other genre-specific and all-fiction-types writing or critique groups meeting in the area.
