Which of these sites has the best agent info?

I'm a fan of Agentquery.
There is a lot of good info on Publishersmarketplace, but there are some marginal agents there.
Writersmarket is full of dodgy agents.
I don't have enough direct experience of Querytracker to comment, but I've heard other people say good things about it
My advice is to cross-check everyone with P+E and the Bewares and Background checks thread here

I've been using Agent Query for primary research and then checking for user comments on agents in Query Tracker. I've then been cross checking with P&E and comments here.

I've found that Agent Query has more information and is easier to use but I do like the comment feature on Query Tracker.

I haven't used the other two (except for two agents who linked to their publishersmarketplace.com profiles from their own sites).

I also used agent query.com and publishers marketplace- Pub marketplace even tho it's 20$ a month was and IS imperative for an aspiring writer- after publication it's a way to keep abreast of the changes and big books- It's been worth every penny.
Publishers weekly however I do not subscribe to anymore as I can get it free at the library ...

I like agent query a lot. I go there most times when I'm looking for agents.

I wrote a blog post a while back on sites like this. Many are great for research, but there are a few caveats.

I used AgentQuery and LitMatch.net.

LitMatch was fun because you could register and make a little chart with the name of your project, and it would keep track of your responses and the percentage of responding agents and stuff like that, which was kind of a kick; but LitMatch is a little light on info.

So here is what I did:

Looked for agents in my genre on AgentQuery. Checked their pages there.

Looked them up on LitMatch to see what they said (sometimes I'd do them first then go to AgentQuery.)

Examine their website or PM page if they had one.

Check their name(s) at P&E.

Check their thread here.

Google them. If they'd done interviews, I'd read them. I don't have a PM subscription but usually Google will bring up most of a Deal announcement in the search (you'll see it under the link, do you know what I mean?) If I found their clients blogging about them, I'd read that. By then I'd know if they were legit (i.e. had actual sales) or not, but I wanted to learn everything I could before I queried, especially whether or not they'd actually sold books like mine.

Sometimes I would do a Technorati search as well (Technorati is a blog tracker/search tool). Because Google doesn't always catch all blogs.

THEN, and only then, would I query the agent. I probably spent about half an hour or so on each agent (at least, the ones I didn't know) but it was worth every second.

I will say my agent Dorian Karchmar of WMA makes it a point to keep her info updated on agentquery.com

I used both Agent Query and Querytracker, and I preferred the latter. Both sites have comparable information, so it's just a matter of what format you are more comfortable with. I liked Querytracker because I got a bit of a community feel from the comments. There is a forum there, but I never used it. Still, nice to know that it's available.
