RIP, Cash Flagg

Ray Dennis "Cash Flagg" Steckler, the brains behind such favorites as The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living And Became Mixed-Up Zombies and Rat Pfink a Boo Boo, has passed away.

Some directors don’t deserve the reputation they eventually earn. While many consider him to be the worst filmmaker in the world, the late Ed Wood was merely a misunderstood visionary. Really. If you don’t believe it, just look at the efforts of one of his unhinged contemporaries.

I've always wanted to check these films out (using the term loosely, of course)! Oh well, it's a melancholy footnote.

...Mixed-Up Zombies has a couple surprisingly good songs in it. One is a jazzy little "scat" number and the other would have been at home in Lesley Gore's or Brenda Lee's repertoire.
