Maybe this is a stupid question, but I've noticed that a lot of people here have written lots of different things -- short stories, poetry, scripts, articles, etc., in addition to novels. Is there such a thing as a (successful) writer who only writes novels? I've tried my hand at all of the above, but really prefer writing novels. Am I shooting myself in the foot, professionally? Should I force myself to write other things, in the interest of being 'well-rounded?' Your opinion, please...
