I'm looking for some good books that are either MG or YA paranormals with boys as either the main characters or at least important characters. The books all need to be geared for the younger range of YA. Anything out there like that?

The first book that comes to mind is Charles De Lint's "Wolf Moon." It reads a bit young, though there's a vaguely described bit of masturbation towards the beginning.
Scott Westerfeld's "Peeps" is almost more science fiction than paranormal, because it gives quite a good try at making vampirism scientifically justifiable, but it's a great boy book. Can't recall if there's anything in it that would preclude giving it to younger teens.

Also from Scott Westerfeld, there's the Midnighters trilogy. It's probably more dark fantasy than specifically paranormal, but of the central five characters two are male.

There's _Psion_ by Joan D Vinge, which just had a 25th anniversary edition put out. It's dark (he starts off living on the streets, and is later sold into indentured servitude, neither of which are sugar-coated) but there aren't any adult situations in it. I wouldn't have any trouble giving it to my 13 year-old son.
The later books in the series are even better (_Catspaw_ is in my top ten sf books), but they are *not* YA.

I just finished "Gone" by Michael Grant, and that book has a few main boy characters. It's definitely a boy-book too - action, suspense, plot twists, and sadistic bad guys who enjoy tormenting pretty girls. And, of course, the hero who rescues the pretty girls.

Dingo by De Lint is also excellent. Not inappropriate for younger readers, but I think it's upper YA, though.
Artemis Fowl comes to mind, though if it fits "paranormal", I'm not sure. (Since I don't know if you're making some sort of distinction.) If fantasy set in a fairly modern world is what you're looking for, there's also The Tapestry (on the lines of Harry Potter, less comic but the same general kids learning magic idea).

The Warrior Heir was really good. Centered around boy main characters. I also read GONE, it was pretty good.

GONE was incredible!! One of my very favorites of last year! This won't be out till June, but keep an eye out for Sarah Rees Brennan's The Demon's Lexicon. Two male main characters and the most awesome story Evar!!!!
You might like Darren Shan's Cirque du Freak series. The main characters are male--most of the big characters, really. It's about a boy becoming a vampire's apprentice.
