Okay, Horror Hazards--Week four of the AW Idol Write-Off is underway. You can read the entries as they are posted, here (http://absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12207).
Our own Hazard, JDKiggins is one of the contest finalists, as are Rhush and Blue Texas. All the writers involved are pretty damned terrific, and they deserve our support and attention.
A number of the stories so far have been creepy good fun. Go and read. Then vote for your favorite, after all the entries are in and Jenna opens the voting. As of this post, there are three entries already posted.
You vote by PMing Melina (http://absolutewrite.com/forums/member.php?u=201), with the name of your favorite writer in the subject line.

I just posted mine...it's a bit creepy. Hard to write horror to the theme of "the seventh grade." This one was the hardest to get an idea for, for me, so I took liberties with a dream I had myself when I was in the seventh grade. The non-fic version wouldn't be nearly as interesting.

Thanks Mac! I hope mine's not the one that's accused of always screwing up the grammer...cuz it's very likely knowing me! Whoopsey!

Becky,
I'll miss your entry too. I liked the dark side you bring out with words. Where can I get your book?

Thanks so much Mac and JDK! As for my book...well, my horror novel is still in the works. I'm trying to figure out if it would be better suited as a screenplay. My Fantasy novel, which is actually very gruesome and angled with a twist of horror, is still making its way around the agents... with a big smile on its face... begging.

Let us know when it's out, Rhush. I'll put money on it to add to my vast book collection. :)
