Help...I am having search issues.

I am search impaired, that or the search just doesn't like me. I can never seem to find what I am looking for can someone give me some links on outlining. I am going to attempt to outline my WIP so I can get a handle on it, but I've never tried to outline a whole book or specific scences so I am not really sure how to proceed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

googling "outlining+novels" pulled up these:

googling "Novel+Outline" pulled up these:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q="outlining+novels"

it's a start. you can go from there. mix and match your serach parameters and enclose them in quotes.

If it's searching here at AW that's giving you trouble, Google has an alternative for that as well. Try this:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&as_qdr=all&q=outline+site:www.absolutewrite.com&btnG=Search

I got better results without including "novel" as a search term. A lot of the outlining threads don't explicitly mention the word "novel".

It seems that the Google search turns out to be a better tool for finding threads in AW than the AW search. As Fennel's link demonstrates.

This appears to be a common issue with the forum software. Several other forums I belong to routinely advise using Google search with the site: parameter.

Thank you. I tried google and that workout out better I was able to find a few sites that provided me with some good information. The AW search engine likes to pick a fight with me and I always end up the one walking away with my tail between my legs. Thank you all again.

Glad you found what you were looking for. These irritating search problems stem from vBulletin software limitations, which are beyond our control.

As suggested above, adding "site:absolutewrite.com" to a Google search will point any search here.
