The evolution of the urban fantasy book cover

This video cracked me up. The creator traces the history of the urban fantasy cover, starting with a Jacqueline Carey novel. I saw at least one book by AW authors on the video. I guess like romance and high fantasy before it, UF is suffering from Covers That All Look The Same. What say you? Does the tramp stamp/bare back/moon in the background still draw you in?

All I know is that I could fall madly in bed with the cover model for Cat Adams' Touch of Darkness book. That's one sultry red-head with a dagger!!!
