The Darkest Evening of the Year by Dean Koontz

Has anyone read this? We read it in a book club, and a member works with me. After reading the latest Deux Ex Machina thread, we argued that Piggy and the dog flying at the end, qualifies as Deux Ex Machina. I don't think it does, the lead in to it all doesn't allow for the surprise flying and curing blind dogs at the end.

Your thoughts?

I just picked this up, but haven't read it yet. I will let you know what I think when I do read it though

My husband picked this up recently. He said it comforted him (his mother died in Jan.). That's all I know. Maybe I'll have to give it a read. So many books so little time.

Do you know something, I've read this and can't even remember what happened in it.

I think Koontz has gone from being a 'must read' to a 'his books are crack' author for me.
