Okay, silly question, I don't know if this is a preference thing or a rule.
I have about three letters in my MG fantasy novel (you've probably all know that by now, seeing as how I keep asking questions...) and I like to do handwriting font for the letters. I like reading books with those, I think it adds something to the characters. But is this something I should wait until I (hopefully) get an agent/editor type thing? Just to be safe?

I think right now just make things a legible as possible. Don't try to get all fancy. Making them that font you risk some people not liking it, or not being able to read it, whereas you simply will not alienate anyone with a normal font. It's not like in keeping it normal someone is going to think, "Oh darn, I wish she'd used that handwriting font for these."

You want to make the agent's life as easy as possible. You can play around with the text once you have the publishing deal.

I believe it is the publisher's decision what the layout and text will look like. Your submisssion to agents should look as professional as possible eg format the manuscript according to their guidelines or use the standard format for manuscripts. :)

Sigh...I was afraid of that, but couldn't bring myself to change it without a nudge.
Thanks for the nudge, guys!

I agree with Toothie and Beach, just type it out as normal and the publisher will tell you how they want it. Always follow the sub guidelines for the agents and stick to whatever type settings they want for your MS Submission.
