At last, you've finished your story and have spent the last several weeks putting a spit shine on it. Finally, you send it off to what you think is a perfect market, a good match.
A couple of days later, you pull out the hardcopy version and read through it and there's a doubled pronoun and, worse, where you listed three examples of something (film titles) you did something like this:
... he liked Star Wars, ANOTHER EXAMPLE and Titanic.
So far (four days later) and I haven't received an acknowledgement of receipt.
Should I resend? Withdraw and resend? Drive to the editor's house, break in and delete the email? Hang myself by my mouse cable? Pour myself a cold one and chill out?
