Referrals

When you have a friend sign up, they have the option to put "euclid" in the referral box and your profile tracks how many referrals you have.
Some forums have contests and things like that but I am guessing for here, it just tallies them in your profile.

When a user signs up, in the additional information section of the registration form there is a part which reads: "If you were referred to this site by an existing member of Absolute Write Water Cooler, enter their name here.[enter name of referrer]"

Which means if you recommend one of your friends to join up, they would put your user-id (euclid) in that box and it would show up on your profile that you have referred 1 person.

As far as I'm aware we haven't had any contests to try and get more members. At least none in the last few years.

So mass-emailing the PublishAmerica MessageBoard suggesting that they come to the "other side" won't get me super rep points?
