Yipee! My first Sale Ever

I am beyond excited right now. I sold my first two articles ever and I must admit I'm flying on the clouds right now. At first I was going the "trying to get my novel published", route. Then I decided I'd try to build my resume by learning and trying freelancing. It's only a small step, but a step that made my dream seem a little more obtainable. Thanks for all the encouragement AW has given me throughout my time here. Now excuse me while I scream! :hooray:

Woo hoo! So happy for you!

Save a copy of the very first check. It's a great motivator. I still regret not doing that myself, although I did save the rejection slip with the personal comment that led to my very first sale.

Thanks everyone. I always dreamed how it would feel to have someone pay money for something you wrote, but actually feeling it is unbelievable! It's a small step forward but one that's filled with hope right now. Having a small taste of my dream is the best present I could give myself right about now. Especially as I wait for hubby to lose his job any moment. I needed to live a fantasy for a little moment right now.

Thanks everyone. The true support I feel everyone gets here, not just me, is such a great feeling. I'm not so sure this would have even happened without finding this great place. I'll admit I did dance around the house with my two labs right after I found out. :snoopy:

Congrats! I remember that feeling & it certainly is a great one! You're right about the support from AW & how wonderful it is but it does have one draw back; don't let yourself be here when you should be writing!

Scream away, you deserve it & since the work you've been paid for came from your veins & soul a scream is deserved.
