Hi Tigerking,

Firstly, welcome to AW. You'll find loads of brilliant folk here to help you with any problems you might have.

Secondly, congratulations on finishing the novel!!! :partyguy:

Thirdly, a bit of advice. Most people won't go off site to read someone else's work, especially if it involves a download. There's the Share Your Work forum here for posting parts of your writing for feedback. Read the stickies at the top of the forum for rules and regulations and very, very good advice. Shorter pieces (around 1000 to 2000 words) get more attention than longer pieces and make sure that you format appropriately for the forum, IE add an extra return at the end of each paragraph to insert a blank line - indents don't work here.

Also, as an aid to improving your own work, I suggest that you read and comment on other pieces in SYW. Or if you're new to the crit process, read other people's crits and see what they're picking up on and most of them will give an explanation as to why. It's also considered polite to return the favour of a crit.

I hope you enjoy AW and that it helps you improve.

Cheers, Lisa.

I'm still looking around and getting accustomed to everything, though the sample download on the blog is for general passers-by. The person reviewing it--if anyone is interested--would be receiving the full story in PDF format, via email to whatever address they choose, though I strongly advise not listing them on site, the email used on the blog is separate from my normal account and is used solely for that purpose. If any of this is in violation of any rules let me know. (Until I've read them all. This site has a lot to take in and lots of stickies)

I will however look into figuring out how/where to put the sample chapters up here on the forums.

Thanks for responding. :)
