My expectations on this were lowered by some lukewarm reviews in the press. One called it the "most boring Bond film ever".
I thought it was very good. Not as good as Casino Royale, but still very good. Daniel Craig continues his excellent work, and the locations and action are great.

However if you are going to see it I would recommend reviewing Casino Royale first. QoS does expect you to remember what happened in that film. In particular remind yourself of the revelations about Vesper Lynd at the end, and what happened to Rene Mathis.

The absolute worst god-awful almost-made-me-leave-the-theater James Bond...

song ever written.

Holy mother of God, why in the world didn't the producers of the new James Bond film tell Jack White and Alicia Keyes that they'd delivered them the biggest piece of dino-droppings laid since dinosaurs walked the earth?

How could such a fantastic movie have so awful a song? Especially in light of how fantastic (doubly so in comparison) "You Know My Name" was?

For Pete's sake, there was a moment of howling and screaming in the middle of the song where, I kid you not, they were OFF KEY.

This song made me yearn for A-ha's "The Living Daylights." It was that bad.

The movie? I liked that a lot. But my recommendation for everyone who goes to see this movie: Watch the trailers. Watch the opening sequence... The moment the song starts, you've got 4 minutes to go buy popcorn.

I saw it last night. Whoever thought it was boring must have been in the Madagascar 2 room. I nearly burst trying to find a moment to go pee, it was so action-packed.

My only "complaint" -- if you can call it that, is I'm actually quite tired of seeing Olga whats-her-name in these movies. She doesn't interest me with her pout and her "I'm skinny I should be an actress"-ness.

Ha! I'm going tonight. Your thread title gave me palpitations. I don't want it to be bad. The song I can survive.

I liked the movie -- a LOT. But the song honest-to-god made me think I'd made a horrible mistake. It really is bad.

Don't diss A-ha. I still have thoughts about Morten Harket involving parakeets and brake fluid.

Hopefully it's better than "Die Another Day." Couldn't get into that song.

Nope. There is nothing in the history of cinema that has a worse title song.

I don't even know what the theme to "Freddy Got Fingered" is, but I guarantee you it was better than this song.

I commented on her in the Quantum Review thread.

He has two (doesn't he usually?)

I'm not a fan of Olga. I didn't care for her in Hitman. I didn't care for her in this film, although her character wasn't a badly written one.

The girl who played Strawberry Fields I would have liked to seen a lot more of. Very cute, very girl-next-door sexy in a Kaylie of Firefly kinda-way.

Who? Vesper, or the wife of the bomb maker? I liked Vesper. She was a perfect blend of "I'm beautiful, smart, prim and proper, and can make your toes curl up if I'm properly motivated."

Bravo is right. The lipstick was atrocious. Eva Green has the same issue that I do - an asymmetrical mouth. Normally unnoticeable unless you paint it up like a hen's butt in pokeberry season.

they couldve put a roast ham and smeared it with lipstick and that wouldve done it for you too.

you have horrible taste when it comes to these sorts of things.

I just appreciate the female form in all its variations. I'm not so piggish as to think that beauty and sexuality comes from the outside.
