It is sad to say, but i'm sooooo turned off by the current media that i've decided to just watch the results on Comedy Central.

Speaking of which, I'm amazed at how much better the news is on Comedy Central, Daily Show and Colbert Report.

How sad is it, that there are instances (albeit small windows of time) where the journalism (and I mean journalism in the Peebody, 1940s sense of the word) is better on the Daily Show than the normal media.

Jon Stewart has done some AMAZING interviews: President of Peru, Iraq, few Senators, etc. etc. and i've always been amazed at the depth of questions he asks and his ability and willingness to just cut through bullshit and nail a guest when need be.

ANyways, I'll be watching Indecision 2008 tonight?

Who's with me?

You know, I think that's a good idea, Mel. Just might do that in between furious bouts of typing. :D

I'll be watching ABC news until 10:00, then my loyalty goes to Stewart and Colbert. I consider Stewart one of the smartest men in the "media" (I use quotes because he's consistent on the fact they're not media, they're a comedy show--probably why they remain so great). The interviews he does off the show, in newspapers, magazines, etc., are incredibly interesting and always spot-on.

I'll be watching it. But you forgot one of Stewart's best: digging up old footage. My personal favorite is some footage of McCain criticizing Obama's "spread around the wealth" thing, followed by his patented "O rly?" and playing some old video of McCain taking questions and explaining to someone why it's fair for the wealthy to be taxed more. (And of course, I liked it when my own senator, Evan Bayh, went on to support Barack Obama. :))
