Wow, this is unthinkable.

Somehow, a Reformed Baptist pastor in Mississippi has taken an interest in some of the stuff I've written, and not only has offered to publish three of my papers in the local church association newsletter, but has asked if I might be able to write a few others on some requested topics... and has offered me a small fee for my services!!!

This is not only the first time I've been published, but I'm floored that anyone would actually offer money for the tripe I produce!

Theognome, that's wonderful! Congrats! How'd he hear of you and first read your writing?

He was the contact person for a convention that my ladies are attending (I can't go- it's too soon after my surgery and I'm not yet fit for travel). One of the main topics of the convention is prayer, and I mentioned that I'd written a couple of articles on the topic. He asked for them, liked them, and asked for more. It grew rather quickly from there.

I noticed that you chose prayer as the 'get things moving' topic. I can post the two that he enjoyed, if you like.

I'd love that! We've got readers but few posters so far this week. It's not one of those stir-people-up topics (though perhaps more essential, practically speaking). Please post whatever you feel comfortable sharing. (And hope you continue to recover well!)
