Hey, all,

Would someone tell me how to make the comment section less long in the User CP part. For some reason, it's longer than it was. Many thanks.

Susie do you mean the Rep Comments part?

There's nothing you can do about that--it used to be longer, actually. The number of displayed Rep comments was reduced because it was causing problems.

Oh, I actually meant the width across seems to be much longer and the words get chopped off and don't wrap onto the next line. If it's a problem, no hassle. Many thanks.

It's possible someone has sent you a loooong rep comment (perhaps with a URL linking to a website or image, i.e. a line of text that can't be broken because it has no spaces) that's making the comment column wider than usual.

I can take a peek at your comments and edit the problem line, if you want. I've got to ask for your permission first.

See dpaterson, above; sounds like he's right on the money, and there's a waayyyyy long comment that needs a <br> tag, or editing.

Yep, just went in and had a look at your rep comments, Susie. Seems like Derek and Lisa are on the money.

Aww, thx much, guys. Yep, Derek has my permission. Much appreciation to Derek, Medie and JJ (though I know JJ can't see my rp's. lol.)

Wait. You guys can READ our rep points?
Color me embarrassed.
Sorry, I/we should have replied to your post before this. The answer is (obviously) yes we can, but we only look on request, e.g. if there's some kind of formatting problem like Susie's, or reported abusive behavior towards members. On the couple of occasions I've stumbled bleary eyed through rep comments looking for a specific problem, most made no sense at all since they lacked context. I estimate that 99.7% of rep comments are smileys, which makes for simply fascinating reading.

I feel so filthy.

Does that lower my rep---or enhance it? ;)

It may help those who fret about such things, to know that only administrators and supermods can look at rep points. And as Derek pointed out, we only do so under certain, strictly limited conditions. In my several years as a super, I think I've only looked at three individual's rep comments.
