Hello there!
My name is Justin. I am 18 years old, and an English major at the University of Houston.
I have been interested in writing for years, but have just recently started to actually devote a large amount of my time to it.
I have always wanted to complete a novel and have it published, yet I was never able to finish more than a few pages before hitting a creative block.
I switched by major focus to poetry and that point, and had many people complement by work.
Then, one night, I just started writing. Ideas flowed out quickly, and it finally appeared I was ready to write the novel that had eluded me for so long.
I am current working on this novel, based in early 20th century Texas during the oil boom. The novel, thus far, has a romantic feel to it (although it is most decidedly not a romance novel!). I am also working on a poetry collection, although that is currently on the back burner.
I am here to learn. Communicating with other writers can only make me grow.
I look forward to learning from all of you.
