Hi all,

I'm creating a one-time notebook for a workshop on sustainable development along a long stretch of shoreline (harbour). I usually use quotes for other sessions - ThinkExist, etc. are enough - but in this case, "sea" and "harbour" = fishing, usually 19th-century, "shoreline" and "beach" = romance, "harborfront" = Marlon Brando, and every conceivable synonym for water is a metaphor for love :Headbang: Not to mention the alternate meanings for "shore" and "harbour."

I need to find quotes from famous people or 2-3 line snippets of poems/songs that speak to the experience of the harbour, beach, marina, etc. - and especially the experiential space between the water and woods. Much of the shoreline we're discussing has forest right up to the sand.

You are more than welcome to send your own snippets, though this is hardly being published, and there's no money involved (again, only looking for a few lines). Credit, of course, but no cash. That's why I usually look for quotes or 2 lines of a poem/song.

Thanks!
Sarah
