Hello, I have used Word Hustler for a short story. It is expensive but very convienent.
Goodluck!
My emphasis.
Deduct their fees from how much you expect to make from what you send out.
Assume you won't make anything from a submission. It happens.
Oops. You've got a deficit and no money coming in.
The deficit IS smaller when you do it yourself. You can use the money elsewhere.
Convenience is good, but I've learned to multi-task. I can print a MS out while running other errands and pretty much do the rest of what WH does when I'm making a sandwich.
Sometimes I don't have to print anything, but email it to my editor. Writers email their subs to me. It's faster and doesn't cost as much.
Yog's Law. Even battered ol' writing vets believe it.
It applies to "services" for writers, too.
There's soooo many convenient "services" for us. So why aren't we rich from using them?
