I have finished a 97K word novel which is YA and 60% Romance. (Part 2 of this book is more Adult (as it takes place after college).)

I am currently editing part 1 and would love some feedback. I have had 3 friends read this, Part 1 and 2, and they seemed to really enjoy it. I am entertaining the idea of splitting part 1 up into two parts and part 2 into 2 parts, equaling 4 books with these characters. We will watch them mature, grow and make adult decisions over a 7 year period.

For part 1, I am looking for someone who can relate to high school crushes, issues and angst. Also, I would like for this person to respect my "voice". I am not complex and try to write simply so everyone can read and enjoy.

Grammar (when to use a ; or a - ) is my weakness but I would also like someone to tell me if it flows, is realistic and help me introduce a bit more conflict into these characters lives.

If you are interested, please let me know!

Sounds interesting. I'm looking for a beta as well. I'm trying to find an agent for my book WINNING AURELIA, a 75,000-word story about an autistic child chess prodigy who has a crush on the girl across the street. (My book follows the MC from age six to age seventeen and, like yours, deals with crushes, angst, etc.)

I don't need help with grammar, syntax, or diction. But I do need someone to say, "Here is where things work well for me, here is where the plot doesn't work for me, here is where you need more/less/different conflict, and here is what I think might help." Basically, I need to make sure my book has a definite beginning, middle, and end, with rising and falling action, conflict, and resolution. (I can't stand formulaic writing, but it seems to sell, so there's the rub.)

Send me a message if you're interested.

Cheers!
