I was wondering what is the word length for a children's chapter book? I'd really like to know because I'm just finish up the last chapter in my children's fantasy book. I'm hoping that I didn't go over the limit. Thanks.

It depends on the age range your book is for
Ages 1-3 300 words
Picture Books Average 1000 words but up to 1500
Early Picture 4-8 years old 1000 words
Easy Reader 6-8 years old 32-64 pages average 1500 words up to 2000
Early Chapter books ages 6-9 average 30 pages broken into 2 or 3 chapters
Chapter books 7-10 years old 45-60 pages 3-4 chapters
Middle Grade 8-12 years old 100-150 pages
Young Adult 12 and up 130 to 200 pages
