Hello, my name is Egypt. I am from Nevada, USA. I found this site thanks to a friend who told me that it is a great place to get help, companionship and perhaps even some inspiration. She also said that it taught her a lot, I am hoping it can do the same for me.

I am an aspiring writer, probably like most of the people on this board. I am also a happily married mother of four. At the moment I am going to school, working on a Bachelor's in Anthropology.

I write mostly Fantasy and SciFi. I have also done a few Fan Fictions.

*shrugs* Not really sure what else to say. So if you have questions, go ahead and ask. :D

Welcome to AW! It is a really warm place, I'm also a newbie and I've been welcomed in the best of ways.

I hope we can read your Sci-Fi and Fantasy stories sometime soon, that would be great!

Welcome!

Hi Egypt. I hope you're not into pyramid selling! But seriously, I write fantasy and YA fiction. I've one set in Papua New Guinea where I lived for years. I met Margaret Mead and drove her into the hills where she was working, at one time. I took anthropology as one of the subjects in the exams for my job as a patrol officer.

So it's exciting to have you join us. I hope you enjoy it here.

:welcome: Put the kiddos to bed and kick up those feet. Of course, when you do, you'll find yourself tormented by needed edits on your books, homework for school, laundry, permission slips waiting to be signed.......sigh. Sounds just like me!

Egypt - welcome to AW! How do you find all the time? Whew, I sleep very little and such, but reading about 4 kids and a major like you have is tiring on me ole brain. I wish you the best of luck!

Thanks for the welcome guys. Wow, so many people saying hi. It is a bit overwhelming, but it definately makes me feel welcome.

A couple of you have mentioned the name, so I figured that I would explain that one for you first. When I first started online I wanted a name that fit me, something that was unique and special to me. It took a bit of thinking, but I finally decided on Egypt. It actually started as egypt_cle (because Yahoo! wouldn't take just egypt). Over the years it has evolved to people just calling me Egypt. I kinda like it. :D I chose it because my first character was a vampire who was born in Ancient Egypt around the time of Cleopatra.

*shrugs* Most people don't explain their names, I just kinda figured you would be interested in how I got it.

Anyhugh, thanks again for the welcome. I hope to have something up for you guys to read soon, even if it is just one of my essays from my English 101 class last year. Believe it or not, my kids make it kind of easy to do school and take care of them at the same time, not to mention my husband's support. I wouldn't be where I am without him. :D

So yeah, I think that's enough jabbering on for now. If you have any questions, just ask and I will do my best to answer.
