Anyone know some good agents?

I recently broke it off with my agent (WL Literary Agency. Thank goodness). And now I'm looking around for someone who can actually get the job done.

You guys know any good writing agents out there?

There are a lot of good agents out there.

I recommend starting with AgentQuery.com and Publishers Marketplace. Also, check the Acknowledgments section of books that are similar to yours (dark fantasy, humorous cozy, whatever)--oftentimes writers will thank their agents by name. That's how I found my former agent.

As you've learned, agents who charge fees of any sort and don't have a record of legitimate sales should be avoided at all cost. (Pardon the pun.)
