I've noticed a lot of us around here watch kids shows. So I was wondering which you think are just the worst.

My vote

Yo Gabba Gabba-Weird charcaters, chessy costumes and sets I wonder what the hell the writers were smoking when they thought that one up

Of all time? Captain Planet. No question.

Currently... hmmm... I might have to agree with Yo Gabba Gabba. As a skinny black dude, I have to say, that skinny black dude on the show creeps me right the hell out...

Behind you! Boo.
I really only watch kid's shows to check in on what my kids want to see.

I can't stand "The Suite Life with Zach and Cody." All the episodes seem to center around shopping and being rich. When a character on the show said "Ew! He's poor!" I turned it off. Bleh.

The voices on all those PBS shows, Dragon Tales, Caillou, etc, make me want to drive a pencil into my brain to stop the painful noise. However, my kids love them. ????
Some of those are pretty bad. I've nicknamed Caillou to Caillou, the Incredibly Stupid Boy.

Hmm.... we don't watch kiddy-kiddy shows anymore. My son (almost 3) has no interest in television beyond theme songs.

But my daugher (almost 8) - ugh... Drake & Josh is pretty bad. But the worst? Disney's The Wizards of Waverly Place - we watched it once. It's a cheap, cheesy, so-bad-it-sucks ripoff of Harry Potter.

I have a friend who hates Barney with a passion.

I something start singing the Barney theme just to annoy her . . . then I get "that look". Then I get threaten to have my butt kicked.

Barney is forbidden in my house in all ways, shapes, and forms. Anyone caught with a Barney (in any way, shape, or form) on their person will be shot.
You sound just like my friend.

I can tolerate Drake and Josh--it reminds me of I Love Lucy in a way--probably because Josh Peck is really good.

iCarly. Hate it. Although there was a great line the other day that made me chuckle: "If you were a country, you'd be El Salvadork."

I also hate Spongebob, and yet, my hubby tells me I do a great impression of Sandy the astronaut squirrel. <Shudder>

I miss "Hey, Arnold" and "The Wild Thornberrys." Those were great shows.

Interesting, Drake and Josh and the Suite Life of Zach and Cody are about the only ones I can STAND.

And as a kid I loved Davey and Goliath.

Somebody mention Barney?

Yo Gabba Gabba is bad but Oobi is much, much worse.

Pedophile hands, I say, pedophile hands.

I enjoy an number of kids shows. I was dead set against the Tellytubbies until I saw how much it cracked my son up. He still thinks it's hilarious!

(C.bronco remembers being in stitches over a Yogi Bear special.)

I never allowed Teletubbies in our house and I always told my son they were evil. We were over at the inlaws and my niece, same age as my son, was watching Teletubbies, and it turns out it was her favorite show and my son, in a loud voice, announced, "My dad says Teletubbies are evil."

They were nearly banned in my house, but then I acknowledged how much my boy liked them. I have to say, he got a killer apple pie recipe from their pumpkin video. It has become a staple in our house.

I'm going to put in a vote for Pokemon because the poor kid will NEVER be a master... and because they never explained the GS Ball (and actually hoped that the viewers would forget about this element they were making a big deal about for TWO seasons.) Not that I watched the show... Okay, I did. And I play the card game. But I still feel bad for Ash.

(I also feel bad for the Trix rabbit.)

Just about anything on the current Disney Channel has my vote. Stupid plots, awful acting (I'm lookin' at you in particular, Miley Cyrus and Raven Simone...), the same four cookie-cutter characters in each series. Blech.

I'd rather eat fiberglass insulation than watch Spongebob Squarepants ever again.

I dread the day when I must endure hours and hours of kids' shows. I think I'd get my kids personal TV goggles and headsets. Maybe a TV chip implant in their little brains.
