I've been trying for months to find someone who can get inside the ancient archaeological site at Babylon. I was hoping for some more pictures of the ruins to help set the scene for my historical wip. I was in touch with a man in Turkey who told me he'd tried but couldn't get in. Then I learned of military personnel in the area but they couldn't get in either. Finally, I made a Google Alert for Babylon, Iraq and nothing of interest popped up until a couple of days ago when I learned of a man who'd been inside Babylon THIS MONTH. He has agreed to share his pictures with me. I'm ecstatic to say the least.

That sounds really cool.

I know places I'd love to see pictures of but unfortunately they don't exist anymore. Whenever I find old postcard photos and such of them it's so exciting, so I know that feeling!

Thanks for sharing my enthusiasm. I'm hoping some new pictures might shed a bit of light on discrepancies I've found in my research.

Fantastic. I truely believe these things should be for all people. We have the internet to hold photos, video footage, lectures and discussions. I'd love to see this great tool used for that purpose.
