Which way back to sanity?

Hello everyone! The ultimate newbie. First post.
This writing business is utter insanity. If I could find out which blasted one of the three fates tied the knot into my thread of life, which dictated that I'd start writing, I'd bash 'em. Better than 180,000 words in, and that's only part one of the trilogy. What a learning curve that has been. Now I've fallen over this forum, so look out y'all.

I NEVER wanted to be a writer. Can I protest about this somewhere? :e2thud:

Um. Yes. (Hangs head in shame). Best described as one of those alternate history things I think. About 4 years ago a scene started playing in my head just right out of the blue. Couldn't shake the wretched thing. Finally got fed up with it, broke down and tried to figure out who the heck these people were and what they were doing. Most of it kinda wrote itself once I got going.
