My fictional character lives in a very real historically correct 1967 -68 setting.
I'm new, so excuse the dumb question, but can you direct me to threads that might answer this question? Thanks

Hi judi girl - You're in the difficult to handle "vacuum" - the time between historical and contemporary. Depending on your story-line, it might be considered mainstream, but it might also be considered as an historical. If you're writing something similar to American Grafitti, it's probably more towards mainstream; something about the Kennedy assassination or anything similar and you're in historical. The 60's are a bit hard to deal with. For now, if you have more questions, you might want to try this forum again. Hope that response helps a bit. Puma

'60's history

Thank you so much for making it clear that I'm in limbo... from what I've been researching on HF, I had come to that conclusion, but thought it might just be me!

I am documenting the many, many historical dates in the school year of 67'- '68, so I think I'm in historical. I've been so obsessed with my details, it took me hours to find out what phase the moon was in on 4/4/68, so I could accurately describe the night my MC is running to a friends house. I think I'll go with historical. Appreciate your response. Thanks again.
