So, my good friend Zoombie was poking me repeatedly one day, and when i inquired into this he told me the reason was that I had no account on Absolute Write, and since I am an aspiring writer as well, he said that his strict code of morals thought of this as a travesty and that repeated poking was the only course of action.
I was further spurred into action when two of the members of my weekly writing group heard of this and began poking me as well, albeit verbally.

Well, here I am. I don't know exactly how much I will be around, but I appreciate having somewhere to put all the things I do.

So, what I'm trying to say is... hi :)

Hi there, Candleman, especially if you are who I think you are ... or maybe I'm not who I think I am ... or maybe I should stop thinking and just say:

:welcome:

Man, I feel kind of out of place with all these enormous signatures... I'd better add a few witty quotes and the pitiful progress of my first work.

And thanks for the 'welcome's. I believe I may know some of you...

The collect talent of AW just rose a little higher.

Candleman is a good writer, no doubt we will see his works on the shelves of Big & Nameless one day.

Welcome, glad you finally joined. I was prepared to start bringing a sharp stick to our writer's group for poking all members who have not signed up to AW.

Make sure you check out the Share your work sections, not only to post, but to critique as well since i've found that the actual process of critiquing someone else is a great learning experience.

Anyways, welcome

Mel....
