I just registered (gave up lurking) and wanted to follow the normal process and introduce myself.
I'm not quite a senior citizen, but working on it. I have a lengthy how-too book on antique clock restoration that I market primarily through my web site http://www.xrestore.com. It has sold well in the three years it has been out and I am encouraged.
I'm currently working a novel length work (90k words) about growing up in the south in the 50's and 60's. Not quite mainstream boomer, but close enough that a lot of people will identify with the historical background to the individual chapters.
If nothing else, I have enjoyed reflecting on those times and events.
Currently, I'm working on editing and rewriting. I'm trying to find a interesting context for the individual life events covered. I'm pursuring a train of thought where the whole book is memory flashes that occur during a draft board physical conducted in 1968. Not quite Slauterhouse five, but it seems to be a reasonable jumping off point for stories about life from early age until 18 or so.
I look forward to meeting all of you and hope to get some valuable input on how to get this piece buttoned up and published.l
