An email book club (free) has highlighted Something Bad as this week's Horror selection. If you want to receive bits of the book in daily e-mails, it requires joining--you can join the Horror section and each week a new book will be highlighted and excerpts sent. I don't know anything about the site other than that ( just joined the horror section to see what it was all about), but it will give an opportunity to read the first few chapters of a book each week so you can decide if it is worth a longer look. They seem to coordinate through local libraries, too.
The site also offers opportunities to post comments on the selections.
