Does this generate a story idea for you?

I was just reading headlines from a few major news websites and the title of this story got me curious enough to click on it.

With all do respect for the dead and their hurting friends and families, I thought it might spark an idea for people who write horror. If not, forgive the intrusion and carry on with your... scary selves.

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) -- At least 38 Warao Indians have died in remote villages in Venezuela, and medical experts suspect an outbreak of rabies spread by bites from vampire bats.

Not specifically, but I find some of the the best inspiration for horror writing from nonfiction reading. Maybe's it has something to do with the credibility of a story when related to fact?

If you want a horror story in Venezuela is better focus on Doctor Gottfried Knoche, our XIX century mad scientist that mummified his entire family and taught instructions to a nurse girl to mummify himself
