Hey guys, I'm doing a character breakdown for a script for sending out to agencies. Was just wondering, what are the key components to a character breakdown? What I'm doing now is age and physical requirements.

Why?

Did they ask for a character breakdown?
I am not sure you need to do a detailed character breakdown to include with your script.

I wasn't specific in my opening post. I'm a creative assistant to a producer and he asked me to write up a character breakdown of a script the production group owns.

I've never been asked to give anyone a breakdown of the character, but I imagine that if I were asked, they'd be interesting in more than just the age and physical requirements.

Personally, I'd include things that make the character who they are - quirks and eccentricities. If you're familiar with the character's background, you could include things that lead the character to the person they are within the film. I don't think they're looking for a strict breakdown of name, age, gender, physical looks and the like. I could be wrong, though.

Yeah, so the character breakdown is being used for casting so a brief description along with age, sex, and physical description is what's necessary. Thanks for the help though.
