Scare Tactics is back! Are you scared? Well, you shouldn't be.

Scare Tactics is back on Sci Fi. My wife and I watched the show every week when it was on before and loved it. And now it's back, hosted by Tracey Morgan. It has the same formula, and I think all the same actors as before.

It's actually, currently, the only TV show I watch (until Simpsons and Family Guy come back).

What I love about it is that normal, average people are put into bizarre situations and we, as the audience, get to see how they react. It's like a twisted psychological experiment and a lot of fun. The reactions are real, and the way they act is real.

It's always funny to see when the "victim" isn't quite on board with what's going on around him, as if it looks like he thinks he's being put on.

What I don't like about the show is the multiple camera angles, quick cuts, and dramatic music. I realize those are put there to make it an exciting show, but I'd like to see how things play out as if we were watching it without the special effects.

The other thing I don't like is how the audience sees what the "villain" is up to out of the perspective of the "victim." I think I'd prefer it if the audience isn't clued into what's going on in that other room.

I've often wondered what would happen if the victim recognizes one of the cast. Usually the victim is brought into a situation through a friend or a temp service for a one-night job, but it would be interesting if the villain came out and the victim said, "Wait, I'm on Scare Tactics, aren't I? I saw you last season!"

Otherwise, great fun!

But what's interesting is that the action happens around the "victim." Nothing ever happens to the victim. So, although it's like the victim is participating, in fact, he is simply witnessing it and reacting.
