Parrot hormones

Poor Pancho. A parrot in the throes of hormones is a pitiful thing. He's currently in his cage attempting to make little parrots with one of his toys. And every time I walk near him, he starts bobbing his head so he can offer me a lovely 'gift'. Ack....

Anybody else's parrot hormonal right now? Panch already had a spring hormone surge but I guess it didn't all get out of his system. I just walked past him to let the dog out and he scurried to the bottom of his cage to tear up strips of paper so he could show off his master nest building skills. sigh[SUP]tm[/SUP]

I have two parakeets that are too young to get hormonal yet. I didn't know boy parrots built nests. How cute.

My blue budgie, Baby, flirts with me big time - head-bobbing and talking and all that. He also hits on one of his toys - a purple octopus sort of thing - but he's never gone beyond flirting with it. (It's either flirting or he's worshipping Cthulhu, I'm not sure which.)

My budgie hen is getting clucky- she sits on my shoulder and digs at my hair. Usually I get my back scratched in the midst of it, so I can't complain.
