Hi people,
I finished my first novel over a year ago and I really need someone who is dedicated (and good at grammar/spelling) to help me get my novel from where it is now (at it's secondish complete draft) to where I want it to be ie not embarrassing. =p Really my goal is to spend a ton of time on it this summer and get it to the point where I would feel comfortable sending it to agents if/when requested. The novel is called The Eternal Link and it is fantasy with science fiction elements. I work hard at my craft and I can take harsh criticisms. Also, the novel is YA and 88,000 words. I hope to hear from someone soon! If you have any questions feel free to post/message me. Thanks so much, Jen

Oh and here is sort of a hook that is constantly being improved.

In the year 3031 CE three-year-old Catalina jumps into a lit fireplace and refuses to come out. As the flames wrap around her, leaving her unscathed, she realizes she doesn’t belong in the backwards city of Madelena. It isn’t until she is sent to advanced school in Ulcadia, the “city of progress,” that she begins to wonder whether she belongs anywhere. With the discovery of an uncontrollable, living fire inside her and an eighteenth birthday magical transformation, Catalina must confront her past and travel through a magic painting.

Beckoned through the painting and thrust across time, Catalina gathers the pieces to reveal her identity as an Eternal, a keeper of time. Along the way she meets Darwin, her mysterious painter; a furry new friend with two opposing souls; and an old wizard whose weaknesses caused Catalina to be chosen as the new Eternal. But, when her enemies learn she has returned to their time, Catalina must confront two ruthless wizards, many soul-sucking demons and one jealous fiancé.

Things change when Darwin toys with Catalina’s heart, causing her to abandon her chosen path and travel back upon the delicate strings of time. But in doing so, Catalina causes a tear that collides the magical past and the high-tech future bringing her enemies too close to home. Catalina must now follow a prophesy she no longer believes in before the two worlds run into each other completely and erase. In a battle between magic and time, nature and technology, evil and true love, Catalina must not only face her estranged mother, her love, and an evil wizard, but she alone must make the choice to conquer time itself.
