I listen to everything. Seriously, from oldies to classic to rap and rock to country. Everything. I currently have anything from Norah Roberts and Colbie Cobalt to Rascal Flatts, the Pussycat Dolls and Lincoln Park.

But, I find that most of the songs I know, and most of the new songs I download are country. All my rap and rock are old school.

Any suggestions out there for the other stuff? I want to expand my horizons.

What's on YOUR iPod?

Ha ha, well I listen to everything from some Heavy Metal all the way down to Worship Music.

But I also gravitate towards country....aaaand old 80's power ballads (lol).

If you like some "older" rap (this isn't THAT old) try Eminem's "Drugs are Bad". Not sure if it ever made it to CD, but you could probably find a download of it somewhere. lol

Seriously, do you have anything by Aerosmith, Def Leopard, or Bon Jovi? They are pretty awesome and Bon Jovi especially would appeal to someone who likes Country.

I LOVE Bon Jovi, and Aerosmith. So yeah, I have stuff by them lol. Actually, not on my iPod though...thanks for the reminder, Maybe I'll throw some of their stuff on there.

I actually saw Aerosmith a few years ago. My girlfriend won tickets. Pretty awesome concert!

Aerosmith is my idol band. I really need to go see them in concert before they get too old and decripit to perform. lol

What about Def Leopard? They are kinda similar to Aerosmith.

Try:

"Pour some sugar on me"
"Let's get rocked"
"When Love and Hate Collide"

Er, I don't have one. If I did have one, it would be holding a great deal of opera.

I'm kind of slow with these things. I didn't buy a DVD player until the video rental stores forced me to buy one when they started limiting the tapes they carried. :D

Heh, I don't have an ipod either. I should get one, though, because I hate CDs.

Oh, I just thought of another one.

Firehouse "You are my religion"

Don't let the big hair fool you, they are a great band.

See also: "When I look into your eyes"
"Love of a Lifetime"

Everything from Joan Jett to Areosmith to Tom Petty to Tom T Hall to Van Halen.

But, I have favorites for different things. -Like riding my horse in the arena. He responds best to Big and Rich, Gretchan Wilson, Ozark Mountain Daredevils... (He doesn't respond best because he likes the songs, he responds best because I relax more when listening to my favorites. When I'm relaxed, there is nothing that he can't do.)

I didn't have one until I recieved it as a present. You know, low budget and all.

Now my iPod contains heavy metal, melodic metal, power metal, 80's metal, industrial, electronic, ska-punk and punk.

A considerable amount of Classic Rock, probably due to the fact that is what I grew up listening to : Rush, Led Zepplin, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, The Guess Who, The Who, Queen, Alice Cooper, and what not. But I also have Jazz, Oldies (like 20s-50s music), modern/alternative/whatever else its considered rock: Nickleback, Coldplay, 30 seconds to mars, breaking benjamin, Coheed and Cambria, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Theory of a Deadman. Also, a couple country songs by Martina McBride and Taylor Swift.

More 80s music than I care to admit. Along with the soundtrack to Spring Awakening. Also a ton of podcasts--Writing Excuses, The Beatdown, This American Life. Oops, almost forgot the books, which include Water for Elephants, Art of Racing in the Rain, Enders Shadow, the list goes on...

Me too! Plus some NPR, The Moth, Short Stories, NYorker Fiction, and Rachel Maddow, and others.

I just reorganized my iPod and my top-played albums are...

1. Icky Thump (The White Stripes)
2. Evil Urges (My Morning Jacket)
3. Hideaway (The Weepies)
4. Seeing Things (Jakob Dylan)
5. 9 (Damien Rice)

Honorable Mentions:

Blonde on Blonde (Bob Dylan)
All other White Stripes albums (especially Elephant and White Blood Cells)
Standing in the Way of Control (The Gossip)

I'm not really sure what my musical taste is... I just like "the good stuff".
