Let's say you're watching some kids show. I hated kid's shows, mainly because I can't suspend disbelief.
Let's look at Wizards of Waverly Place for example(Disney.)
In my opinion, it's just a cheap imitation of Harry Potter. It's about three wizard siblings in training. And the father teaches them crap that won't even help them later on in life. Like teach them a spell that makes two people mad at each other for no reason at all.(How is that useful for them.) The Father also teaches them crap and after that tells them never to use them.(Why did he teach them that spell in the first place? If he didn't want the kids to use them.)
\
My point is. Have you ever felt awkward watching a kid's show? Is it easy for you to suspend disbelief?
This doesn't apply to just T.V, it's also books and Movies.
