I'm totally new to the world of writing, although I've been writing in para roleplay for about a year. I also mod, so I do critiquing as well. I enjoy writing, its challenges and its rewards. I love watching a piece go from rough first draft to polished story. Even though I need lots of help with the editing, it's getting easier.

I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts and opinions. So far I've found this site to be a big help. It feels like a safe place for writers with authors on the look out for scams and deals alike.

Welcome to Absolute Write, Kris. I know what you mean about editing. To me the editing is much harder than actually writing a story the first time. I just completed editing on Afterglow of a Virgo, and I received tons of helpful suggestions from AW members, courtesy of the Share Your Work thread. I totally re-worked my Chapter 1 because so many people had given me such excellent ideas.

Anyway, check out all the forums - you'll find it hard to leave!
