What do you do when/if you get struck with a brain fog?
Right now I'm six months pregnant and really beginning to notice the effects of "pregnant brain." (This is an actual condition believed to be brought on by less blood-flow to the brain during pregnancy. Ick.) Absentmindedness, forgetfulness. It's annoying in day to day life but I'm finding it's really slowing me down when it comes to writing. I forget how to spell words, forget which word comes next, what plot point is next in line, etc.
I have notes, but they aren't nearly detailed enough (so it would seem) to completely help me out of this mess. I've been trying to just write anyway but some days (like today) it's a struggle to get anything comprehensible out on paper.
So, what do you do when you're struck by brain fog? (Doesn't have to be preggo brain, but writing while sick or on medication or just out of sorts.) Should I just wait it out? Struggle through?
I'm really frustrated because I want to write but I'm not getting anywhere. Any help?
