In the first chapter of my novel, there's a man that my 12 yr. old MC has a confrontation with. He is only in a few paragraphs, and she doesn't know his name. But to save having to write the man did this or the man did that for each of those paragraphs, I want my MC to give him a cartoon character's name that he looks something like.

BUT I need a more current cartoon character! I used Elmer Fudd from the Buggs Bunny cartoons, and Mister Magoo comes to mind, too, but does anyone have any ideas for any more CURRENT cartoon characters that look similar to these fellas??? (This character is short, pudgy and bald-headed, btw).

Anyone have any ideas?

:D

I would suggest " . . . an older version of Henry from the Nancy cartoon strip . . . ", but I wonder if anyone would get it.

Then there's George from Seinfeld. And that Wally character from Dilbert.

Or you could make something up, like " . . . he had the body and head of a snowman . . . " and then refer to him as Snowman. Or just call him Chrome Dome.

Homer Simpson! That's a good one.

THANKS, everyone!

And if you think of any more, feel free to keep 'em coming. . . .

I think your best bets would be Homer Simpson, who's on his way to becoming a classic character, or Elmer Fudd or Mr. Magoo, who are. If your book is around for years, you want to pick a character that's still recognizable.
