Wowee, this is so exciting, Cathy.

I never thought I would be buying e-books, but I just bought one yesterday.

So now or soon?? I'll be able to get yours in e-books!!

And I was just saying to Susan on another thread about how Harlequin would be nice to write for but they wouldn't even consider my light paranormals. I wonder if Tor would. Anyway I'll be investigating.

Who's the editor for those? Must be in the list of publishers you've posted on here.

Heather Osborn is the acquiring editor for Tor Paranormal, yeah? She was interviewed by a few blogs (including Dear Author) when she first came aboard Tor. I believe she mentioned what kind of stories grab her attention.

I recently subbed to her and I'm hoping it's right up their alley for the TP line. Since I sent it off recently I'll probably be sitting in this stash for a bit lol.

In any event, I smiled when I opened up this week's newsletter and saw C.T. and Cathy's book. I've been hearing such great things about their books and haven't had a chance to pick 'em up. The only thing I do have is a copy of our recent antho from Wild Child (Omg! I'm published in a book with them, sweet!) Now I have no excuse and immediately added it to my palm pilot e-TBR pile. Looking forward to the read.

I don't know if Heather is buying light stuff. Anna didn't tend to, but I don't know tons about Heather's taste just yet. Give it a try. You never know.

Oh, and for those who haven't signed up yet because you already have the book, don't want to get a ton of emails (or aren't really interested in OUR books) keep in mind that Tor isn't actually offering ebooks for SALE yet. They're trying to find out if the market for ebooks is big enough to invest the time and money to format the books. If the only market is the 15-29 age group (the electronic generation), that's not enough, because many, if not MOST of the buying readers are over 30. So, even if you have the book, PLEASE sign up for it! If there's not enough interest, they'll never take the plunge, and then we'd be very

Cathy - I think I forgot to tell you - I finally did get around to reading Timeless Moon. I enjoyed it very much, but was a little disappointed I wasn't able to find your backlist in the store. The book stood very well on its own, but if there is a series I like to start at the beginning.

I just signed up and am looking forward to getting their newsletter. But there wasnt an age choice after 30, just 30+. Is it true then that when you turn 30 you've reached the outerlimits of marketability...

Me, too - even down to the age

The Tor newsletters have been great. I was introduced via a free download to a series that I eventually bought all the books from, including the most recent hardback (only one more book left, coming next year - *sigh*).
