Recommended Action reads?

I hope this isn't too strange of a thread (or in the wrong place).

I've been reading up on any kind of Urban Fantasy / Sci-Fi / Action books lately, and I was wondering if anybody has read any good ones?

I'll give a short list of what I've read to give an idea?

City of Bones - Cassandra Clare (really good, great action, etc.)

Maximum Ride - James Patterson (um, I didn't go into it knowing how young it was, so I'll leave it at that)

Vampire Academy - Richelle Mead (good staple book, lots to enjoy)
