I have a serious question. I just read an editorial on Baen's universe about slush and either Erik or Mike suggest that submitting writers don't mention their publications in semi-pro magazines because it looks amateurish. I've submitted to several semi-pros, because I like some of them.
But can someone tell me if there is any benefit - other than seeing your name in print - to getting something published by a semi-pro mag? Do editors/agents ever read them?
