File names for requested material

I know I've seen this somewhere on AW, but darned if I can find it....

When emailing a requested partial or full, what is the best way to title the file? What to include in the file name aside from the novel's title? I know I've seen suggestions for including more than the novel's title, so that the agent has all the info right there at a glance.

I only remembered where I'd seen it because I'd submitted my partial to her two days before her blog post (do I need to add that she won't be thrilled with my file name if/when she gets to it? lol).

OK, where exactly would I look for this specific subject? Is it part of her submission guidelines? Or somewhere else? Lots of blogs that have happened since.

I've never emailed a full, but all the agents who ever requested e-material from me wanted it in the body of the email itself, not as an attachment.

Christa -- As I said, she addressed it on 3/26 just scroll back thru the blog to that date and you should find it

Arkady -- I've had a number of agents request emailed partials to be attachments and not in the body of the email, so I think it's just a matter of personal preference

Filter out just March first. Nice blog. Me gets ideas.

I like the bit about file names. Some people have no sense at all with file names. They should have as much meaning in as few words as possible, even if they are only going to sit on your hard drive and get moldy. Kind of a micro-synopsis.

I ended up naming my files Title_Lastname_Partial (or _Synopsis or whatever the case might be). My title is only one word. And I also made sure that my last name and email address were on every page that I sent.
