My cat has hyperthyroid and kidney issues---she will only eat friskeys prime fillet(turkey or chicken) tried ten different kinds but she ate none--tried mixing with friskeys in but she picks out the friskeys and won't eat the rest--I think she likes the chunks of chicken and the gravy in it--any healthy alternatives? Something with gravy and chunks--all the kinds i tried were like large globs of preformed goo(no gravy or chunks)--I need help.

add it into the friskies little by little over time? Is the healthy food dried pellets? Maybe if you reduced them to powder (with a little more every time) and mixed it with the stuff kitty will eat, she'll get used to it sooner since she won't be able separate it from the rest.

It is actually wet (looks like potted meat) and she digs thru it like a picky child:( I am not trying to starve her into eating it because she is very small--so i am at a loss.

Does anybody know about an article or something comparing cat foods?

Sometime for a treat I give my cat canned chicken (the kind actually made for humans); she loves that.

I've run "taste tests" with the two cats I've had and both picked Fancy Feast as their favorite. Have you tried that? Mine likes the "flaked" varieties best; it's not just mush or goo.

One trick I've seen is to warm the food up so that the food gives off more smell. Cats like eating things which smell strong.

They make about eight different varieties of the "flaked" type. You might want to try one of each. One of them is sort of a "glob".

But, with cats being cats, she still might not like any of them.

Last Thanksgiving I got sent home with a lot of leftovers from mom, including half a turkey. I gave my cat some of the turkey and that really made her happy. For about a week I had a "Pilgrim cat".
