My father has always said this is his favorite film and has been bugging me for ages to watch it. It was featured on TCM this weekend, so I tivo'd it.

OMG. Why didn't I listen to him earlier? It is so tragically lovely. I feel like I need to watch it again, or at least just re-watch that scene where Bette Davis comes out of her cabin for the first time, eyes cast down, under her broad rimmed hat. Breathless. Sheer beauty!

Thoughts?

I thought you were reprimanding a member named "Voyager."

Pffffftttttt. When have you ever known me to talk about Star Trek, Allen? I mean, a Spock girl taking Star Trek?

Bette Davis! Stunning.

I thought you were reprimanding a member named "Voyager."
Maybe, for abandoning us to move to Mexico.

An entire generation of young men tried to repeat Henreid's two-cigarette shtick, and many young ladies imitated the way Bette held hers.
It would be difficult to ooze the charm he did, while executing this move.
