Gossip Girl. I know, I know, but I was picking up some Scott Westerfeld and it was on the same shelf. An impulse to grab, really. I don't say this very often, but the show is better than the book. Srsly, I want to gag and brush my teeth every time one of the characters pulls out a cigarette. Which is, like, every page.

I heard it was a cross between The Village and Resident Evil before I read the post above. You don't know how happy that makes me. LOL :)

I think you'll like it, it's very different from most YA books that I have read. The village thing just comes to mind because it's like the same setting only with like a huge fence all around and there are these zombies on the other side moaning and reaching through the fence all the time.

How depressing would it be to be trapped somewhere like that???

THE FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH was an amazing book, but so sad. It stayed with me all day.
Don't ya love books like that :)

I read so many books, sometimes they all run together, but I love the really strong ones that stick with me...wishing there was still more

Or, since I'd be so bored living like that, I'd probably just write about it. hahaha

Yes! I love books that stand out!

Hunger Games was the book that stayed with me. I still think about it.

Product Description from Amazon:

In a society where unwanted teens are salvaged for their body parts, three runaways fight the system that would "unwind" them.

Connor's parents want to be rid of him because he's a troublemaker. Risa has no parents and is being unwound to cut orphanage costs. Lev's unwinding has been planned since his birth, as part of his family's strict religion. Brought together by chance, and kept together by desperation, these three unlikely companions make a harrowing cross-country journey, knowing their lives hang in the balance. If they can survive until theireighteenth birthday, they can't be harmed -- but when every piece of them, from their hands to their hearts, are wanted by a world gone mad, eighteen seems far, far away.

In Unwind, Boston Globe/Horn Book Award winner Neal Shusterman challenges readers' ideas about life -- not just where life begins, and where it ends, but what it truly means to be alive.

sounds cool....I'll have to pick that one up.

It's so sad when you go to the library and they know your face and run and get your mini shopping cart of books that are on hold for you LOL

I wish I had a better library! :(
my libaray is awesome! I can go online and request things and then they call my cell and tell me when my stuff is there, they have everything, or if not they get it from some other libaray for you, it's great! Pretty impressive for a town of about 30,000 people LOL

The library near my college campus is awesome. The library in my tiny pathetic town is...tiny and pathetic. :) No, jk, I love this little town. But we do need a better library.

Have you read Evernight by Claudia Gray? I think you may like that one as well[/quote]

Read it. Haven't got the second one yet though. But I've read all of the Vampire Academy and Blue Blood series. I must admit, out of all of them Vampire Academy are my favorites. I loved Shadow Kissed cliffhanger!
