I'm reading 'The Hunger Games' by Suzan Collins.

I only bought it a few hours ago and I'm already at page 150. I can't put it down!

I've just finished Hexwood by Diana Wyn Jones, which I absolutely loved for its sophisticated narrative structure that uses time jumps and fake-outs with different characters.

Have just started The Last Stand by Jonathan Stroud.

Almost finished GONE by Michael Grant. Slow in the begining but the action picks up later on.
Going to read SKINNED next, by Robin Wasserman. Sounds promising....

Finished The Last Siege by Jonathan Stroud, which I thought was a pretty good read so was surprised to see all the negative reviews for it on Amazon. I think that it suffers in comparison to Stroud's Bartimaeus Trilogy because there's no fantasy element to The Last Siege, but it's pretty tautly written and the only criticisms I'd make were that there should have been a little more character development for Emily and Marcus and I think the book finished a chapter too soon as I wanted to know what the fall-out was from the events.

Have now started Nightrise by Anthony Horowitz. It's the third book in his Power of Five series and an urban fantasy. I'm enjoying this series much more than I did the Alex Ryder series because I find the characters more realistic in terms of their emotional response to the situations they're put in.

I finished Wintergirls, and it was WONDERFUL! Beautiful, scary, sad, heartbreaking, and everything in between! I recommend it to everyone.

Finished SMACK by Melvin Burgess.

Didn't much care for the ending (I wanted it to turn out right for Tar and Gemma! :( ), but overall the book was good. Better than some I've seen in the genre.

THE FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH ....I thought this book had a total "The Village" vibe going mixed in with a little "Night of the Living Dead" kept me interested...I think there is a second book coming out in this series???

I've heard that book rocks. I can't wait to read it!
